Even though the premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still a few months away, Marvel and Sony have yet to release a teaser or even a poster, which means we still know very little about the film. That’s where insiders step in, sharing new rumors that continue to fuel fans’ curiosity.
Recent rumors have focused on Spider-Man's villains. It was rumored from the beginning that this time, Marvel and Sony wouldn't limit themselves to a single main antagonist, but hardly anyone expected the number of enemies rumored to appear.
Twitter/X user Cryptic4KQual shared information about Spider-Man's villains in the upcoming film. In addition to Scorpion (Michael Mando will return) and Tombstone (played by Marvil Jones III/Krondon), who were confirmed a few months ago, we're also expected to see Jackal and 8 Ball. This would mark their first live-action appearances.

A few months ago, Daniel Richtman also mentioned Boomerang, Tarantula, Ramrod, and Toombston (which was later confirmed). He also posted a photo of Soria/Spider-Queen on his Twitter/X account without any caption, so we don't know if he was trying to communicate anything.
Jeff Sneider believes the main antagonist will be Chameleon, another previously unmentioned character. Alex Perez revealed that Marvel concept artists were working on a "dark, mysterious female character."

Let's not forget Sadie Sink, whose role remains unknown. Some say she'll play Jean Grey, others say she'll be an antagonist. Nexus Point News recently revealed that Tramell Tillman will play William Metzgen, who is the leader of the Anti-Mutant Militia in the comics, which only fuels rumors about her role. Sadie Sink is set to return in Avengers: Secret Wars, meaning her character won't be a one-off.
Mark Ruffalo will return as Bruce Banner, and according to many insiders, we're supposed to see the Savage Hulk, who will also serve as an antagonist. Jon Bernthal will also return as the Punisher, but his role may be more of a Spider-Man protector than a villain.
Rumors about Venom, Vulture, Mr. Negative, Kingpin, and Viper continue to circulate online, but they don't come from reliable sources, so I'll leave them aside.

If even some of the rumors are confirmed, we're in for a massive spectacle that won't be forgotten for a long time. The question is, will Marvel and Sony be able to fit so many characters into one film and utilize them effectively?
